I love this letter. My guy wrote it when I lost the last election. (Which of course means I never really lost.)

I love Hudson.

It’s that simple. It is a beautiful city, with bright, creative people, on the banks of one of the original Wild and Scenic Rivers, the beautiful St. Croix. I hope to elevate and engage all of the citizens of Hudson, in an effort to be an example of collaboration, conversation and respect in small town government. We are better together!

Have we crossed paths? We might have! Here are some people, places and programs I might know you from…

EP Rock. I teach math, reading and do noon duty there. They call me Miss Liz : )

Pop Up Players Community Ed Theater classes. That’s me too.

Hudson Destination Imagination. I’ve run this program for 22 years, and THAT is how I know how creative Hudson youth can be!

Just Add Water, The Phipps Summer Art Camps. (I may have taken you or your child out kayaking in the bay!) LOVE the St. Croix!

Hudson Urban Forestry Board. Have we planted a tree together?

Community Murals, including the big pollinator mural on Vine St, Project 30.1, and murals in River Crest, Willow River and EP Rock elementary schools.

You might know someone in my family…my husband Maury rides bikes with some pretty cool people. The pedal kind. And my five kids have been meeting remarkable friends all over the place here, for over 30 years! Sydney, Max, Clara, Kate and Owen Malanaphy.

Could be somewhere else that we’ve met too…I value ALL of these amazing experiences and people…and so many more!
